Parent membership
Terms and conditions
Last updated: 14 July 2026
1. The service
Gem Glow Academy provides digital activities intended to support confidence, habits, emotional vocabulary and independence, together with a virtual gem balance, palace-item collection and room-decorating experience. Features and content may evolve as the service improves.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- The parent account holder must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- Account information must be accurate and kept up to date.
- The parent must protect their password, family code and child PINs.
- A child must not create or control the paid parent account.
- The number of active child profiles is limited by the selected plan.
3. Child use
The parent decides whether the activities are suitable for each child and remains responsible for supervision, online safety and any real-world activity. Children must not enter private, harmful, unlawful or sensitive information into the service. Gem Glow may suspend a profile where this is reasonably necessary to protect a child, another user or the service.
4. Membership and billing
Membership is billed through Stripe at the price and frequency shown before checkout. Unless the checkout states otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. The parent can manage payment methods, invoices and cancellation through the Stripe billing portal linked from the parent account. Access normally continues until the end of a paid period after cancellation.
5. Trials, promotions and refunds
Any trial or promotional terms shown at checkout form part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes rights that a consumer has under applicable law. Requests concerning an incorrect payment, service failure or statutory cancellation right should be made promptly through support.
6. Gems and palace items
Gems and palace items are virtual features with no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred outside the household, exchanged for money or used as a financial product. Server records determine the valid balance, ownership and saved room layout. We may correct balances affected by a fault, duplicate award, abuse or unauthorised modification.
7. Acceptable use
Users must not attempt to bypass membership, manipulate gems, scrape content, interfere with security, test other families’ credentials, upload malicious code, reverse engineer protected systems or use the service for unlawful or harmful purposes. Reasonable security testing requires prior written permission.
8. Educational and wellbeing limits
Gem Glow provides general activities and encouragement. It is not medical care, therapy, counselling, safeguarding advice, formal education assessment or emergency support. It does not diagnose a child or replace qualified professional support. A parent should seek appropriate professional help where they have concerns about a child’s health, safety or development.
9. Content and intellectual property
The website, activities, characters, branding, software and original content belong to Gem Glow Academy or its licensors. A current member receives a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for their household. Content must not be copied, republished, sold or used to build a competing product without written permission.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, provider outages, security events and product improvements may affect access. We may change, replace or retire features where reasonably necessary, while taking account of paid users and applicable consumer rights.
11. Suspension and closure
We may restrict or close an account for serious or repeated breach, fraud, payment failure, security risk or child-safety concern. A parent may cancel membership through billing and may request account deletion through support. Clauses that by nature should continue after closure, including payment, intellectual property and liability provisions, will continue.
12. Liability
We do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Gem Glow is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, failure to supervise a child, unauthorised disclosure of credentials, third-party outages or use of the service for a purpose it was not designed to provide. Consumer statutory rights remain unaffected.
13. Privacy
Use of personal information is explained in the privacy notice. The parent must only create a child profile where they have authority to do so.
14. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections that apply where the parent lives. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes.
15. Contact and business details
Questions can be sent through the support page. Before public launch, the business must insert its full legal entity name, company number if applicable, registered address and formal contact details.
